The Ames Main Street Farmers' Market runs from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Saturday, May through October, in the heart of Downtown Ames at 304 Main Street in the Main Street Cultural District. With over 125 vendors, live local music, special weekly activities, and a warm community atmosphere, it's one of the most beloved Saturday morning markets in Central Iowa and was even named the best local event in the Community's Choice Best of Story County awards!
You'll find everything from fresh produce, meats, cheeses, and baked goods to flowers, plants, handmade goods, and one-of-a-kind artisan items. For 2026, the market is even expanding into the 200 block of Main Street more vendors and more fun than ever! Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, it's the perfect way to spend your Saturday morning supporting local Iowa makers and I'd love for you to stop by my booth while you're there!
